DC reviews functioning of Municipal Council G’bal

Ganderbal : The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Ganderbal, Shyambir, who is also Administrator of Municipal Council Ganderbal, on Wednesday convened a meeting in the Conference Hall of Mini Secretariat, here to review the functioning of the Municipal Council Ganderbal.
The meeting meticulously evaluated the operational efficiency and performance of the Municipal Council.
Executive Officer, Municipal Council encompassed a detailed analysis of ongoing projects, administrative processes, town profile, beautification works and other key initiatives undertaken by the Municipal Council.
The DC gave necessary instructions on enhancing civic amenities, optimizing resource allocation, and ensuring streamlined governance for the benefit of the Ganderbal community.
After taking a detailed review of major projects at the town level, the DC fixed the timelines for completion of vital projects. He also directed for cleaning of nallahs and fumigation wherever required in the town.
Regarding traffic management, the DC directed the EO that dedicated teams shall be deputed along with tow vans during the peak hours and wrong parked vehicles should be towed and fined accordingly.
During the meeting, various unit heads presented progress reports, highlighting achievements, challenges, and future plans within their respective domains.
Shyambir emphasized the importance of collaborative efforts and transparent communication to further enhance the impact of municipal services.
The DC expressed confidence in the Municipal Council’s ability to navigate challenges and deliver sustained progress.
The meeting was attended by EO Municipal Council Ganderbal along with staff of various sections of the council.
