“The allotment of spaces at new industrial estates to budding entrepreneurs in short time would hopefully result in the birth of new medium and small, scale industrial units across Jammu & Kashmir.”
Newly appointed Chief Secretary Atal Dulloo holding his maiden meet on development of new industrial estates in Jammu shows the Government’s increasing focus on industrial development in Jammu & Kashmir. As Chief Secretary directed the completion of works in given timelines at the new industrial estates both in Kashmir valley and as well as Jammu division, the allotment of spaces at new industrial estates to budding entrepreneurs in short time would hopefully result in the birth of new medium and small, scale industrial units across Jammu & Kashmir. Knowing that industrial investment has been a priority of the Government for the last more than three years the Chief Secretary has also stressed for the availability of all necessary infrastructural and technical facilities to the existing medium and small scale industries to help them grow at a faster pace for attaining the status of large scale industries. Boosting the already medium and small scale industries to help them acquire the status of large scale industries and developing new industrial estates at a faster pace for allotment of spaces to budding entrepreneurs to help them set up new medium and small scale industries would consequently extend and expand the network of both medium and small scale and as well as large scale industries in Jammu & Kashmir. With increasing focus on hassle free road connectivity reducing fast the frequency of traffic disruptions on Jammu-Srinagar highway the hassle free transportation of raw materials required for set up large scale industries in Kashmir valley would most likely create a congenial atmosphere for industrial investments in Kashmir Valley.
“Since the Government’s intentions of focussing on industrial development equally in both Kashmir valley and as well as Jammu division is directed at opening up floodgates of employment for the jobless youth of Jammu & Kashmir, the Chief Secretary’s stress on developing new industrial estates in given timelines is just the beginning of a new phase of industrial development in Jammu & Kashmir which revolves around a bigger plan of youth employment in different industrial sectors in both Kashmir valley and as well as Jammu division in coming years.”
Since the motive of the government is to boost the industrial investments equally both in Kashmir Valley and as well as Jammu division, the all weather road connectivity to Kashmir would show a steady rise in both the small &medium scale and as well as large scale industries in Kashmir valley in coming years as has been witnessed in last three years in Jammu division. Since the Government’s intentions of focussing on industrial development equally in both Kashmir valley and as well as Jammu division is directed at opening up floodgates of employment for the jobless youth of Jammu & Kashmir, the Chief Secretary’s stress on developing new industrial estates in given timelines is just the beginning of a new phase of industrial development in Jammu & Kashmir which revolves around a bigger plan of youth employment in different industrial sectors in both Kashmir valley and as well as Jammu division in coming years.
