DC reviews implementation of Jal Jeevan Mission in Poonch Distt

DC Stresses on timeline completion of sanctioned JJM Schemes

Poonch: District Development Commissioner Poonch, Yasin M. Choudhary on Saturday chaired a meeting to review the implementation of Jal Jevan Mission in the district. Mission Director JJM G.N.Itoo attended the meeting virtually.
A comprehensive discussion unfolded focusing on the progress made in the district towards achieving the “Har Ghar Jal” target in the district. The SE Hydraulic circle Poonch updated the chair on the status of the under execution JJM schemes in the District.
The Deputy Commissioner assessed the scheme-wise progress by seeking detailed information from the concerned Assistant Executive Engineers (AEEs), Assistant Engineers (AEs), Junior Engineers (JEs), and other officers.
Taking stock of the works carried out under the Jal Jeevan Mission in each Panchayat of the District, the Deputy Commissioner directed the Executive Engineer to strive towards achieving the target of providing “Har Ghar Jal” (water to every household) by the end of December. Furthermore, the DC urged all AEEs, AEs, and JEs to expedite the execution of the JJM projects throughout the District.
The focus of the review meeting was to ensure the timely and efficient execution of the JJM projects in Poonch, aligning with the vision of the “Har Ghar Jal” initiative.
The meeting was attended by the Consultants JJM(Civil/Mechanical) Manish Kumar Bhat, V.K.Arora,Chief Planning Officer, Maqsood Ahmed, Executive Engineer (PHE), Riaz Ahmed Executive Engineer PDD Poonch Aftab Ahmed, Executive Engineer R&B Poonch Imtiyaz Ahmed ACD Abid Hussain, DFO Naveed Iqbal, AEEs, AEs, JEs of PHE and AEE Ground Water, TPI and concerned leading Contractors.
