DC presides over VBSY event at Kilam

Kulgam: Viksit Baharat Sankalp Yatra (VBSY), the driving force behind transformative initiatives, is experiencing a surge in momentum, with every passing day, in Kulgam and the yatra was conducted in 11 Panchayats of Devsar and Pahloo blocks on Saturday.
The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam, Dr.Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat also participated in the yatra function held at Kilam.
Addressing the occasion, the DC said that the focus of the Yatra is to reach out to the people, creating awareness and providing benefits of welfare schemes.
He also added that the district administration is committed to working hand-in-hand with the people to achieve sustainable development and uplift the overall socio-economic fabric of the district.
The DC also visited the stalls put up by different departments and interacted with the people here.
ADDC Showkat Ahmad Rather; DDC member Riyaz Ahmad,ACR, Mir Imtiyaz Ul Aziz; ACD, Mohammad Imran; Tehsildar, BDO and other officers were also present on the occasion.
During the Yatra, an IEC van carrying the message of VBSY conducted awareness about the socio-economic and welfare schemes.
Similar events were held at other panchayats and witnessed mass participation of people, PRIs and officials of various departments.
The venues presented a festive look with cultural events besides massive IEC campaigns held regarding centrally sponsored schemes.
