DC Kupwara flags-off IEC Vans; 18 Panchayats of Meelyal, Tarthpora Blocks covered

Kupwara: The Viksit Baharat Sankalp Yatra (VBSY) continues in full swing in Kupwara district and has reached, far-off Panchayats of Meelyal and Tarthpora Blocks of Kupwara district.
Eighteen (18) Panchayats of Meelyal and Tarthpora Blocks were covered under VBSY which included Lone Harai A, Dard Hari- B, Hangnikote, Champora, Lilium, Kenyal, Meelyal A, Lone Harai-A, Meelyal, Kachahma A, Kalmoona, Farkyan, Rashionpora-B, Kachahma B, Dard,Haria, Hafrada, Rashanpora A, and Amargad.
People in huge number thronged the venues to listen to the message of PM of India.
The venues presented a festive look with colourful cultural events besides presentation of success stories of beneficiaries, progressive farmers , entrepreneurs and effective IEC campaign about centrally sponsored schemes.
Meanwhile, the Deputy Commisioner (DC) Kupwara, Ayushi Sudan flagged off the IEC (Information, Education and Communication) vans of VBSY from DC Office Complex here.
On the occasion, the DC said that IEC Vans will benefit people by enhancing awareness about government schemes.
IEC vans on Saturday covered Lone Harai A, Lone Harai B, Kachaama- A, and Kachahama- B, creating awareness about welfare schemes related to sanitation facilities, essential financial services, electricity connections, access to LPG cylinders, housing for the poor, food security, proper nutrition, reliable healthcare, clean drinking water, etc.
A lot of excitement was seen around the VBSY IEC vans, as the villagers, young and old, thronged these venues of IEC vans and enthusiastically participated in VBSY.
