The outreach meeting, also graced by BDC Chairperson Palmar Lalita Devi Devi, DDC member Palmar Tahir Masood, PRIs and locals, focused on highlighting issues ranging from infrastructure development to water supply, education, health, agriculture, and allied sectors.
Emphasizing prompt resolutions, the Deputy Commissioner assured coordination with concerned department heads to address the raised concerns effectively.
A proactive approach was taken during the programme, with a majority of grievances being redressed on the spot through directives issued to the respective officers.
The officials committed to prioritizing these concerns, ensuring swift resolution as recorded.
Addressing the event, the Deputy Commissioner urged local farmers to engage with agriculture departments and leverage farmer-oriented schemes, particularly the Holistic Agriculture Development Programme (HADP) initiated by the Government of Jammu & Kashmir.
During the programme, a local progressive farmer also shared his success story in the floriculture sector. He narrated his journey towards realizing a manifold increase in his income. The DC Kishtwar appreciated and encouraged such innovation in the sector.
In addition, the chair shed light on the Fasal Beema Yojna, emphasizing its significance in safeguarding farmers against crop losses. Encouraging every farmer present, the Deputy Commissioner urged them to register under this scheme, ensuring a secure safety net in the face of potential agricultural uncertainties.
DC advocated for the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, encouraging the community to uphold cleanliness guidelines within their surroundings.
Responding to the community’s demand for improved road and water connectivity, Dr. Devansh Yadav outlined plans to address these concerns through ongoing phases of the PMJSY and Jal Jeevan Mission in the area. He urged BDC and DDC members to collaborate closely with relevant departments, ensuring fool proof execution and timely follow-ups to achieve collective progress.
