Govt announces winter vacations from Nov-28 for primary, Dec-11 from Class 9 onwards

Srinagar: Amid cold and foggy weather, School Education Department Saturday closure of schools in a phased manner in Kashmir division from November-28-2023 to February-29-2024.
DSEK in a statement on Saturday said it has found it appropriate to announce the closure of schools for winter vacations in a phased manner from November-28.
“For primary level classes’ upto 8th standard, the vacations will be observed from November-28 to February-29-2024,” it reads.
It also said that from 9th onwards upto 12th standard, the vacations shall be observed from December-11 to February-29-2024 respectively.
“All teachers shall remain available on demand for any online guidance of students during vacation period,” it reads.
It also said that any default on part of the head of the schools or teaching staff in observance of the above schedule shall attract strict action under rules
