Gandhi Memorial College Srinagar organizes Blood Donation Camp

Srinagar : Gandhi Memorial College, in collaboration with Ummat-E-Rasool Relief Trust and HDFC Bank, on Saturday organized a blood donation camp, here.
The medical team, comprising nine members deputed by L D Hospital, and the dedicated efforts of NSS Program officers and volunteers ensured the smooth logistics of the event.
The event was inaugurated by the Principal Prof (Dr) G M Lone. In his insightful remarks, Prof (Dr) G M Lone emphasized the college’s enduring commitment to community services. He underscored that donating blood is not just an act of charity but a profound testament to our shared responsibility for the well-being of others.
The event saw the active participation of both students and staff members with 31 donors in total collectively contributing to the noble cause.
The event besides replenishing the blood banks also instilled a sense of responsibility and compassion among the participants towards the larger community.
