Drug peddler arrested in Bla, Contraband substances also recovered: Police

Srinagar : Police on Saturday said that it has arrested drug peddler in Baramulla and recovered contraband substances from his possession.
In a statement issued from Zonal Police Headquarters Srinagar police said that a police party of Police Post Mirgund headed by Incharge Police Post Mirgund under the supervision of SDPO Pattan at a checkpoint established at Kripalgarh Singhpora intercepted one Adil Manzoor Sheikh S/o Manzoor Ahmad Sheikh R/o Iqbal Colony Singhpora Pattan and during his search, 110 grams of contraband Charas Powder like substance was recovered from the possession of the said accused who was arrested and shifted to Police Station Pattan where he remains in custody.
Stating that the police has registered a case under relevant sections of law at Police Station Pattan in this connection and also initiated further investigation into the case, Police in the concluding para of it’s above quoted statement appealed people to cooperate with it in curbing the menace of drugs from the society and reassured that it will act tough against the criminals as per law.
