DC interacts with Civil Society members at Ramban, Seeks peoples’ cooperation in propelling developmental activities

Ramban : Deputy Commissioner Ramban, Baseer-Ul- Haq Chaudhary on Saturday chaired an introductory meeting with the members of Civil Society, Senior citizens and heads of social, religious and business organizations of the district.
Interacting with the participants, the Deputy Commissioner said that the District Administration has geared-up to reach-out to the public to provide them quality services under all sectors at their doorsteps.
Seeking the cooperation from the participants for overall development of the district, the Deputy Commissioner said that the people need to actively participate in planning and execution of need based developmental works on ground. “District Administration will ensure development of every nook and corner of the district with the involvement of the public” he assured.
Inviting participants to freely contact him for highlighting the issues of public interest, the Deputy Commissioner informed that 24×7 control room, having Telephone Number 01998-266790, has been established at district headquarter to note down and to get feedback about status of public services, besides addressing the issues and grievances of the people, especially pertaining to the availability of essential services.
Discussing the issue of poor literacy rate in the district, the Deputy Commissioner asked the participants to sensitise the people about the significance of education and encourage them to send their wards to schools, especially girl child to improve the literacy rate. He said that the District Administration is tagged implementation of youth oriented schemes f as the top priority
The Deputy Commissioner reiterated the unwavering commitment of LG administration to reach out to the last man in the queue, saying that District Administration would conduct public outreach programmes at Sub Division, Block, and Tehsil levels, besides visiting the Panchayats to listen and to resolve issues of public at their doorsteps.
Highlighting the significance of Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra (VBSY), the Deputy Commissioner asked the participants to ensure public participation in the programme to saturate all the beneficiary oriented schemes launched by the Union Government for the welfare of common masses.
The participants assured full support to the District Administration at all spheres in implementation of welfare schemes, besides ensuring their mass participation in developmental activities.
Among others, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Harbans Lal, Deputy District Election Officer, Lal Chand, Assistant Commissioner, Development, Ashok Katoch, District Statistical and Evaluation Officer, Ganesh Dutt, Tehsildar, Ramban S. Harvir Singh, besides other officers of line department attended the meeting.
