Srinagar: SKUAST-K Innovation, Incubation and Entrepreneurship Centre is a brand in innovation, incubation and trainings in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
According to a statement issued from Public Relations Office SKUAST-K here, the centre tops in innovation, startups and patent ranking released by the Jammu and Kashmir Department of Sciences and Technology Innovation Council and the only Incubator in India among all SAUs to have 11 Big Birac Grants awarded by the DBT, Government of India.
In its mission to promote and build up the ecosystem of innovation and entrepreneurship and to involve the young budding minds towards the culture of startups, the first internship was completed at the centre.
The intern Mohammad Sarwat Hasnain Alam Khan pursuing a BTech from Oxford College of Engineering, Bengaluru completed its internship on a novel topic ‘Perception of Students Towards Tech-enabled Startups in Jammu and Kashmir UT under the mentorship of Naveed Hamid, Chief Executive Officer, SKIIE Centre. He completed his study in just one month and submitted the recommendation to the centre for bringing a positive change in the arena of startups in Jammu and Kashmir.
What Mr Sarwat has to say about his experience at SKIIE Centre:
“I had the privilege of interning at SKIIE Centre in Shalimar, Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir for four enriching weeks. Under the expert and able guidance of Naveed Hamid, Chief Executive Officer, SKIIE Centre. My experience was nothing short of transformative. exposing me to diverse entrepreneurial projects and fostering personal and professional growth. The vibrant atmosphere and cultural backdrop made it a memorable journey. I worked on the project “Perception of Students towards Tech-Enabled Startups in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir”. The experience provided valuable insights into the local entrepreneurial landscape, enhancing my research and analysis skills.
