Srinagar : Three suspected Over Ground Workers (OGWs) of Lashkar-e-Taiba were arrested in Jammu and Kashmir’s Budgam district, police said on Friday.
The three identified as Mohammad Younis Dar, Syed Jahangir Shah and Irfan Ahmad Wagay were arrested by a joint team of police and security forces during a routine checkpoint operation at Pethkoot in Beerwah.
“The detained individuals were linked to the LeT outfit. Subsequent searches yielded the recovery of one hand grenade, 13 AK rounds, and nine LeT posters,” a police spokesman said.
It said a case has been filed under several sections of Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act & 7/25 Arms Act.
