Shopian: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Shopian, Faz Lul Haseeb on Thursday visited Keller block of the district and reviewed the functioning of departments besides taking stock of healthcare services.
On the occasion, the DC chaired a review meeting with district and tehsil officers and officials of departments and reviewed the provision of services and winter preparedness besides reviewing the functioning of tehsil level offices.
The DC called upon frontline officers and officials to remain fully prepared in tackling the public welfare issues during the winter season while reviewing the provision of electricity, water, healthcare, snow clearance, etc.
He also met PRIs, contractors and the public, and interacted with them on various issues and heard their issues patiently.
The DC on the occasion, asked for better cooperation from them in timely execution of developmental works being executed by the departments.
He assured them that the District Administration is always at the forefront to expedite resolution of any problem faced by them.
Later, DC also made a surprise inspection of Sub District Hospital, Keller and took stock of the functioning of the hospital, provision of health care facilities there besides inspecting Pharma stores.
He interacted with staff and instructed healthcare functionaries to provide better healthcare facilities to the patients.
Various district and tehsil level officers and officials accompanied the DC during the visit.
