Gender Specialists DHEW, Aisha Shafi and Sumaya Muzzafar and financial literacy specialist Najmu Saqib besides teachers and students were present on the occasion.
Sumaya Muzafar said there should be no gender disparity in getting education, as education is the right of every child whether it is a girl or a boy. Every girl that receives education is more likely to make education a priority for her children as well.
Speakers including female teachers highlighted objectives of BBBP and stressed on girl education.
The objective of the scheme is to address issues from declining Child Sex Ratio (CSR), women empowerment, removal of gender inequality to protecting a girl child. The scheme also tries to ensure education of the girl child and her participation in the society.
