31st Distt Level NCSC Captivates Young Minds held at Shiksha Niketan Hr. Sec. School Jeewan Nagar Jammu

Jammu: In a spectacular showcase of scientific fervour, the 31st National Children Science Congress for District Jammu was organized by National Council for Urban and Rural Development Society Jammu in close association with Department of School Education Department on Monday at Shiksha Niketan Hr. Sec. School Jeewan Nagar Jammu.
The event was presided over by Suraj Singh Rathore, Chief Education Officer, Jammu and also attended by A.K. Raina, Deputy Chief Education Officer, Jammu, Rameshwar Mengi Principal Shiksha Niketan Hr. Sec. School as guests of honour.
The event witnessed the enthusiastic participation of young minds, fostering a spirit of scientific inquiry which showcased the culmination of efforts by Child Scientists and Guide Teachers of various schools of Jammu District in collaboration with NCURDS Jammu, under the able leadership of Zaffarullah Khan, State Coordinator NCSC Jammu. Coordinator NCSC Jammu, welcomed the attendees and highlighted the achievements of NCURDS in managing diverse scientific activities across the length and breadth of Jammu division. Approximately 60 science projects were presented by budding child scientists, reflecting their creativity and scientific acumen. These projects were evaluated by learned evaluators, Dr. Madhu
Sharma, Principal HSS Sohal, Dr. Shweta Kohli, Sr. Lecturer Physics HSS Gharota, Satvinder Kour, Sr. Lecturer EVS SRML HSS Jammu, Smt. Komal Bedi and Amol Sharma, in two groups – seniors and juniors. A total of 20 outstanding projects presented by Child scientists were selected from the district to advance to the state level competition scheduled for later in December.
Addressing the audience, Suraj Singh Rathore, in his presidential address, commended the efforts of Zaffarullah Khan and the NCSC Jammu team for organizing a fascinating science program aimed at nurturing scientific temperament in students from a young age. He further applauded the Principal and management of Shiksha Niketan Hr. Secondary School Jeevan Nagar Jammu for managing this program and for always being at forefront in all scholastic and co-
scholastic activities benefiting the students and educators.
Earlier, Dr. Ashaq Hussain, Chairman NCSC Jammu J&K in his address emphasized that NCSC is a flagship program of the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India and is instrumental in promoting science and instigating a spirit of research among young minds. Dr. Hussain congratulated the selected child scientists and encouraged those who did not make it to the next level, stating that the end here does not mean that you have to stop here but End actually means efforts Never die. He urged them to continue their efforts, assuring that success will be theirs in the future editions of the National Children Science Congress. The program concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks, acknowledging the pivotal role played by the Principal, staff, and management of Shiksha Niketan Hr. Sec. School Jeewan Nagar Jammu. Their unwavering support and cooperation were instrumental in making the event a resounding success.
