Doda: Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Doda, Pran Singh, serving as the Nodal Officer for Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra in District Doda, orchestrated the mobilization of the district administration for the upcoming Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra scheduled from November 15 to January 26, 2024.
A workshop, attended by district officers, sectorial officers, and block development officers across the district, along with virtual participation from outstation block development officers and executive officers of municipal councils, was held in the Conference Hall of DC office complex, aiming to raise awareness and strive for the saturation of centrally sponsored schemes.
During the meeting, the ADDC emphasized the importance of flagship schemes, directing all district officers to create videos regarding government-sponsored schemes within the stipulated time. The Yatra, designed to reaffirm a commitment to a developed India by 2047, focuses on reaching vulnerable populations to maximize the impact of various centrally sponsored schemes. The government is providing 107 mobile Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) vans to cover 4291 Panchayats of Jammu and Kashmir in 20 days. The ADDC stressed the need for effective projection of schemes and urged officers to stay informed about the latest data on beneficiaries and scheme coverage.
As part of the Yatra, a Digital Van will traverse panchayats and municipal wards, delivering the Prime Minister’s message and hosting promotional events. The district administration has created a comprehensive schedule, and the Nodal Officers have been assigned specific duties for a smooth and successful Yatra. The ADDC directed district officers, virtually connected block development officers and principals, to follow the prescribed dates and schedules for making videos on important topics of sponsored schemes. The Yatra will cover five clusters, and major functions will take place in Doda and Bhaderwah, showcasing the success stories of various departments.
The ADDC informed that video submissions for success stories are expected by November 22. The event scheduled at Doda shall feature stalls from various departments in the community hall to raise awareness about government-sponsored schemes. Five clusters will celebrate the event, covering almost all the panchayats.
The meeting was attended by ACD Doda, ACP Doda, CPO Doda, district officers, principals of different degree colleges, representatives of the concerned departments and virtually attended by the BDOs and principals of Degrees Colleges.
