Srinagar: Police in Kulgam on the directions of SSP Kulgam held PCPG meeting at Police Station Manzgam, Police Station Yaripora and Police Station Kund. The meetings were chaired by respective jurisdictional officers and were attended by respectable citizens including Market associations, Auqaf Bodies, Chowkidars, Numberdars, Sarpanchs, Panchs, youth and other representatives of Manzgam, Yaripora, Kund and other adjacent villages.
Speaking on this occasion the chairing officers appreciated the process of organising such events in the Kulgam by police department in which an opportunity is being provided to highlight the prevailing issues of the society like drug abuse, domestic violence, and speedy justice and seeks their redressal for the betterment of all. The officers present at the meetings gave a patient hearing to their issues and assured them that their issues which are pertaining to other departments will be taken up immediately with the concerned officers for appropriate action besides issues related to Police would be resolved on priority.
Addressing the participants, chairing officers urged upon in strengthening the Police public relations and also cooperation for eradicating all types of crimes from the society for creating a peaceful and crime free atmosphere in the area. The officers also appealed people to inform police about smuggling of drugs and other illegal activities if any for initiating appropriate action against the offenders.
