3rd round Phase of B2V-5 concludes successfully in 152 Panchayats of Kupwara

Kupwara: The third and final round of phase fifth of the public outreach programme ‘Back to Village, (B2V-5)’ concluded peacefully in 152 Panchayats of Kupwara district on Tuesday, with this all 385 Panchayats of the Kupwara district have been covered under B2V5 programme.
The Visiting Officers/Panchayat Prabharis were overwhelmingly welcomed by people on reaching their allotted Panchayats as the programme witnessed huge participation of people from all walks of life across the district.
Sarvaish Rai, Principal Chief Conservator Forests (PCCF) on Tuesday visited Panchayat Halqa Gulgam of Block Hiri Qadirabad of Kupwara district as Prabhari Officer.
Principal Chief Conservator Forests was accompanied by DFO Kehmil along with officers of line departments, organized Gram Sabha and conducted an inspection of several ongoing development works.
Muhammad Rafi, Director General, Libraries visited Bramri Panchayat of Block Drugmulla of Kupwara district as Prabhari Officer.
During his visit, he convened a meeting of officers from line departments, PRI members and the general public to take stock of the follow-up of “Back to Village” phase fifth at Bramri Panchayat.
Mohd Ashraf Bhat, Special Secretary GAD, visited Panchayat Halqa Drugmulla of Kupwara district as Prabhari officer and interacted with the officers and public.
Khurshid Ahmad Shah, Regional Director, Survey and Land records accompanied by ADDC Kupwara, Altaf Ahmad Khan, and ADC Handwara, Nazir Ahmad Mir visited Kulangam B Panchat Halqa of Block Handwara.
Similarly, Syed Qazi Irfan, Additional Secretary Home visited Panchayat Halqa Sogam of Kupwara district as a Prabhari Officer.
All the Prabhari officers during the back to Village programme, directed the officers and field functionaries of Line departments to work in close coordination for the development of villages. They directed to organize awareness camps regarding self-employment schemes in the Panchayats so that the maximum number of unemployed youth gets benefited from these programmes. They also urged the local youth to take benefit of self-employment schemes.
During the Back to Village programme, Gram Sabhas for formulation of GPDP, Public grievances redressal camps, Plantation drive and other activities were held.
The visiting officers chaired special Gram Sabhas, Bal Sabhas and Mahila Sabhas and administered the pledge to the participants to discourage the drug menace.
Special Camps were organised to provide support to specially abled, senior citizens, distribution of certificates like income certificate, Ayushman Bharat Golden Cards, and other certificates.
Visiting officers also participated in sports activities, talent hunt programmes, cultural events and youth engagement activities in order to reach out to village population and promote various initiatives like Nasha Mukt Bharat, Swach Gram, promoting self employment schemes etc.
Visiting Officers interacted with people, conducted inspection of CSC Centres, Anganwadi Centres, Schools and generated awareness about online services of the Government.
