New Delhi: UK and India on Monday reviewed the ongoing defence engagements between the two nations and discussed possible cooperation in new domains.
During a telephonic conversation, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and UK Secretary of State for Defence Grant Shapps discussed a wide range of defence and security issues with particular emphasis on the Indo-Pacific region. They briefly reviewed the ongoing engagements and discussed possible cooperation in new domains, said a Defence official.
During the conversation, both Ministers explored ways and means to develop closer defence relations.
Grant Shapps invited Rajnath Singh to visit the UK shortly. Singh congratulated Shapps on his appointment as the Secretary of State for Defence for the UK, the official said.
