7 drivers arrested for illegal extraction, transportation of minerals in Bla, 7 vehicles also seized: Police

Srinagar: Police on Monday said that it has arrested seven persons and also seized seven vehicles from their possession for their involvement in illegal mining of minerals in Chakloo and Delina areas of Baramulla.
In a statement issued from Zonal Police Headquarters Srinagar Police said that a Police party under the supervision of DySP Hqrs Baramulla assisted by SHO Baramulla and Incharge Police Post Delina seized seven vehicles (5 Tippers, 2 Tractors) and arrested 7 drivers identified as Mohd Rafiq Dar R/o Jalsheeri, Javaid Ahmad Malik R/o Drangbal, Mohd Rafiq Mir R/o Drangbal, Danish Ahmad Dar R/o Jalsheeri, Javaid Ahmad Lone R/o Jalsheeri, Basit Ahmad War R/o Delina & Mudasir Ahmad Lone R/o Darpora Delina in Chakloo and Delina areas of Baramulla for their involvement in illegal extraction and transportation of minerals..
Stating that cases have been registered under relevant sections of law at Baramulla Police station besides which investigation has also been taken up, Police in the concluding para of it’s above quoted statement warned that people found indulging in illegal mining activities shall be dealt as per law and appealed people to share information regarding the crimes in their neighbourhood with their concerned police units.
