PULWAMA: The phase fifth of Back to Village (B2V-5) program that commenced in District Pulwama on 9th November, successfully concluded today, marking a significant chapter in rural development.

This monumental effort underscored the Government’s unwavering commitment to catalyzing positive change by directly engaging with citizens at the grassroots level.

Structured in two meticulously planned phases, the program unfolded across all 190 Panchayats in the District and involved the participation of a huge number of people across the District.

Visiting Officers, serving as the emissaries of development, actively interacted with the public, ensuring that the voices of the community were heard. The immersive approach involved thorough inspections of various projects, emphasizing a hands-on methodology to understand and address the nuanced needs of each locality.

The ‘Back to Village 5’ program witnessed the initiation of projects through Grah Parvesh ceremonies, a gesture that marked the inauguration of PMAY houses. Nasha Mukt pledges, a crucial component of the program, were undertaken, reaffirming the Government’s commitment to holistic community development and the well-being of its citizens and ensuring ‘Nasha Mukt’ Pulwama.

The active involvement of officers and officials from various Departments in District Pulwama played a pivotal role in the success of the ‘Back to Village 5’ program. Their widespread presence in every Panchayat Halqa ensured that citizens were well-informed about government schemes, with a particular emphasis on the saturation of Centrally Sponsored Schemes and self employment generation initiatives.

Through targeted programs and resources, the ‘Back to Village 5’ initiative sought to catalyze sustainable livelihoods, fostering entrepreneurial spirit and contributing to the overall economic prosperity of the rural populace and ensuring that “Saturation of Self Employment” at Panchayat level is achieved. Revenue camps, medical camps, CSCs, and bank counters at each Panchayat underscored the commitment to providing essential services directly to the community, further enhancing the program’s impact on rural development and well-being.

In addition to these impactful activities, the inauguration ceremonies for the newly implemented projects were conducted with due pomp and circumstance. Furthermore, the felicitation of beneficiaries served as a poignant reminder of the tangible outcomes of the work of different departments. These events underscored the Government’s dedication to transforming rural areas by providing essential services, fostering self-sufficiency, and significantly improving the overall quality of life.

The program’s structured approach in two phases, covering all Panchayats, exemplified the Government’s commitment to inclusivity and comprehensive rural development. The positive conclusion of the program is a testament to the collective efforts of the Government, Visiting Officers, and the local community and by actively involving citizens in the planning and development process, ‘Back to Village 5’ has set the stage for a transformative journey toward sustainable rural development.
