Srinagar : Residents of Natipora, Gopalpora, Dalgate, Sonwar, Khanyar and surrounding areas found themselves grappling with the aftermath of rain as the rainwater submerged the streets.
The locals on Friday said that with water level increasing very fast the street are virtually painting the picture of pools. “It’s disheartening to see the neighborhood in such a state, as we can’t even move properly from our house because the roads are filled with mud and rain water,” said Natipora resident.
“The unrelenting downpour, which began yesterday late night and continued through the night, has transformed once-familiar roads into waterlogged thoroughfares, creating significant inconvenience for the local populace,” said residents of Sonwar. Likewise, commuters and residents alike are now faced with the challenge of navigating through flooded streets, as the water levels rise to unprecedented heights
