Dir Agriculture Jammu reviews arrangements for smooth supply of Fertilizers for Rabi season -2023-24

Jammu: To discuss the action plan for smooth supply of fertilizers for ensuing Rabi Season in Jammu Division and prepositioning of fertilizers for application in orchards in Kashmir Valley, a meeting was held on Thursday at Krishi Bhawan, Talab Tillo, Jammu under the chairmanship of Director of Agriculture Production & Farmers’ Welfare, Jammu, Ram Savak who is also the controller of fertilizers for J & K.
The meeting deliberated on various issues related to smooth supply of fertilizer during the Rabi 2023-24 in both divisions of the J&K.
Speaking on the occasion, Ram Savak said that the main objective of the meeting is to ensure the smooth and timely supply of fertilizer to the farmers of both divisions of J&K.
He further said that fertilizer is the main input for agricultural and horticultural crops and any lacuna from any quarters is unacceptable in timely stocking/supply of the fertilizer in the J&K.
The company representatives assured full cooperation and stocking as per supply plan.
The Controller Fertilizer also reviewed the progress in establishment of PM Kisan Samriddhi Kendras (PMKSKs). Pertinently, PMKSKs will cater to a wide variety of needs of the farmers and provide agri-inputs (fertilizers, seeds, and implements), provide information regarding various government schemes and ensure regular capacity building of retailers at block/district level under one roof.
The Controller Further instructed the companies to expedite the process of developing the Primary Agriculture Cooperative Societies as Kisan Samriddhi Kendras (PMKSKs).

Reen, JD (Farms/SLUB), Mahesh Verma, DD Central, Sanjog Kotru, ADLE, Tilak Raj Sharma, Coordinator DBT J&K, Akhil Vaid, J&K Head IFFCO, J&K Head National Fertilizers Ltd. (NFL), UT Head Chambal Fertilizers & Chemicals Ltd (CFCL
