Police attaches shop of militant at Zirpara Bijbehara

Srinagar: Police in Anantnag on Wednesday seized a shop under the name “The Game Modification” of arrested militant, which was used for militant attack on migrant labourer at ZirparaBijbehara.
In a statement issued from Zonal Police Headquarters Srinagar Police said that in the evening of May 29 this year, militants fired upon a migrant labourer namely Deepak Kumar @DeepuS/o Mashu R/o Thial-Panchayat Deot Bilaspur Udhampur near Amusement Park Janglatmandi causing fatal injuries to him as a result of which died at GMC Anantnag, adding therein that after killing of Deepak the militant fled from the spot.
Stating that Police registered a case vide FIR No. 171/2023 under section 7/27 I.A Act, 302 IPC 16, 18, 20, 39 UAPA and initiated further investigation into the case, Police in it’s statement further said that during the course of investigation, six militants identified as Sehran Bashir Nadaf S/o Bashir Ahmad Nadaf R/o Shirpora Deva Colony, Ubaid Nazir Laigroo S/o Nazir Ahmad Laigroo R/o Shirpora New Colony, Umer Amin Thoker S/o Mohd Amin R/o Waghama, Huzaif Shabir Bhat S/o Shabir Ahmad Bhat R/o Wachi Shopian, Nasir Farooq Shah S/o Farooq Ahmad Shah R/o Wanteng Mohalla Bijbehara and Suveed Showkat Bhat S/o Showkat Ahmad Bhat R/o Fatehpora were arrested and found associated with Kashmir Freedom Fighter, an offshoot of JeM militant outfit.
In the concluding para of it’s above quoted statement Police said that during further course of investigation, a shop under the name “The Game Modification” situated at Zirpara Bijbehara, run by accused Umer Amin Thoker used for the afore mentioned attack has been attached under section 25 UAPA by Anantnag Police
