Samba: BipulPathak, Director General, Institute of Management, Public Administration, and Rural Development (IMPA & RD) on Wednesday visited PanchayatBadhori in Block Bari Brahmana of District Samba as part of the fifth phase of the Back to Village public outreach program.
Pathak received a warm welcome at the Panchayat. He was accompanied by Abhishek Sharma, Deputy Commissioner Samba; Suriya Begum, District Development Council member; Rajinder Singh, Additional District Development Commissioner; ShehnazAkhtar, Sarpanch of Badhori and other officers of the District administration.
During the visit, Pathak interacted with the people, listening to their grievances and suggestions. Some of the issues raised by the people included the fencing of the local pond, the repair of lanes, and road congestion. The locals praised government initiatives such as construction ofAmritSarovar and the Swachh Bharat Mission.
Pathak reviewed the functioning of different departments including health, Jal Shakti, Social Welfare, and Revenue and sought status of the Aayushman Bharat saturation, Kisan Credit Card, PM KISAN Scheme, Social audit of PradhanMantriAwasYojana, school education department, functional household tap connections, Common Service Centre, and online services.
Addressing the officials, Pathakemphasised the need to intensify the NashaMukt Bharat campaign in industrial areas. He advised against a patchwork approach in the execution of works. He also emphasized the importance of cleanliness in the Panchayat.
Together with the Panchayati Raj Institution members and officers, Pathak took the NashaMukt Bharat pledge, vowing to work towards making the Panchayat free from substance abuse.
Earlier, the DG inspected stalls put up by different departments to showcase respective schemes aimed at socio- economic development of rural populace.
Later, he visited the AmritSarovar site and SantoshJanak dairy farm maintained with the help of the Animal Husbandry Department.
Certificates were distributed to women achievers of the Panchayat, and Kisan Credit Card term loan sanction letters to the eligible beneficiaries.
Pathak commended the district administration for the event’s arrangements and expressed gratitude to the locals and PRIs for their participation. He emphasized the importance of such events for connecting with the people and gaining firsthand information about their genuine grievances.
He assured the people that their issues would be brought to the attention of the relevant authorities for prompt resolution.
