Legal Services Week commences at Shopian, PD& SJ presides over the inaugural function

Shopian: The District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) Shopian under the aegis of National Legal Service Authority and in collaboration with the Tehsil Legal Services Committee Shopianon Tuesdayorganised Legal Services Week’s Inaugural function on the eve of National Legal Services Day at District Court Shopian.
The Legal Services Week was inaugurated by Riaz-Ul-HaqMirza Chairperson, DLSA (Principal District & Sessions Judge) Shopian in presence of Secretary DLSA ShopianSusheel Singh, Chairman TLSC (Chief Judicial Magistrate) ShopianImtiyaz Ahmad Lone and Munsiff/JMIC ShopianBrij Raj Singh.
Speaking on the occasion, Chairperson DLSA highlighted the role of Legal Services Authority in giving free legal aid to the marginalized sections of society.
He also made the audience aware about the ongoing legal services awareness week all over India. The purpose of the legal services week is to educate the general public on their legal rights, entitlements, and remedies as provided by the Indian Constitution and other welfare laws.
The event was attended by Advocates, Staff members of DLSA, Para Legal Volunteer and large numbers of litigants.
