Vigilance awareness Week: Health Services Directorate Jammu concludes activities across Jammu Division

Jammu: Vigilance Awareness week that commenced on 30th October 2023 was observed in all health institutions and offices under Directorate of Health Services Jammu in collaboration with Panchayati Raj Institution members and schools. The initiative aimed to raise awareness about detrimental effects of corruption on the society and to bring transparency and accountability in governance to achieve all round development of the country.
A series of activities were conducted during the week starting with taking of Integrity pledge by all health employees. The week-long activities undertaken included lectures cum discussions, drawing, painting, slogan writing, essay writing, quiz competitions and signature campaign.
Grievance redressal camps were organised for citizens to ensure zero pendency of complaints. Gram Sabha awareness camps, to sensitize the public regarding online services and the portal of health department, were also held. Information, Education and Communication activities conducted included displaying posters, placards depicting messages of “Zero tolerance against corruption in offices, District Hospitals and all health blocks.”
At the Directorate of Health Services Jammu, an impressive skit related to the theme “Say No to Corruption; Commit to the Nation” was presented by the staff of Directorate in presence of Director Health Services Jammu Dr. Rajeev Kumar Sharma. The informative lectures on topics related to the theme were delivered by Director Health Services Jammu, Dy. Director Dentistry, Assistant Director Schemes, State Epidemiologists, Technical Officer NIDDCP and Law Officer of the Directorate.
