Khansahib: Chairman J&K Peoples Democratic Front ( PDF )and former Minister, Hakeem Muhammad Yaseen has expressed dismay over delay in completion of Krimshora – Parnewa fruit Mandi after investing several crore of rupees on purchase of land and construction of auction sheds in it . He has also demanded immediate operationalisation of the fruit Mandi Khansahib , saying therein that operationalization of these fruit mandis was imperative to enable growers and traders of the area to sell thier produce directly to the buyers without exploitation of the middlemen .
In a statement issued on Monday ,Hakeem demanded immediate operationalisation of the Krimshora – Parnewa and Khansahib fruit Mandis which were languishing since last more than 10years , despite spending several crore of rupees on thier construction . He said these areas were predominantly fruit growing belts adding that there was immense need of vegetable and fruit mandis to enable fruit growers and traders of the area to sell their produce directly to the buyers. Operationalization of these fruit Mandis would eliminate exploitation of the middlemen . He said people of the entire khansahib constituency were aghast over the lackadaisical approach adopted by the government in completing these fruit Mandis.
“In absence of fruit Mandis in khansahib area , the fruit growers were being exploited by the middle men ,with the result , they do not get adequate price of thier produce ,“ Hakeem added. He has sought personal intervention of the L G Manoj Sinha for making fruit Mandis in khansahib area operational without any further delay. PDF Chairman has also demanded immediate upgradation of the Khag-Aripanthan road via Kandhama village which inter connects three tehsils. He said road was presently in worst dilapidated condition and the people of the area were suffering severely.
