Kupwara: The District Administration Kupwaraon Saturday organized a day long capacity building workshop for Drawing and Disbursing Officers (DDOs) at Town Hall Kupwara in collaboration with the Directorate of Audit and Inspection, J&K as part of observance of ‘Vigilance Awareness Week’.
Sensitizing the DDOs about various extant rules and regulations of Finance Department, the District Treasury Officer Kupwara, MohammadShafiWani said that Vigilance Awareness Week is being observed to foster collective participation by all stakeholders in the fight against corruption and to raise public awareness about the existence, causes, gravity and the looming threat of corruption.
Meanwhile, experts from Directorate of Audit and Inspection highlighted various provisions of purchase manual, GFR- 2017 and roles and responsibilities of DDOs’ in respect of incurring expenditure in Government offices.
The DDOs had a detailed interaction with Audit officers on various issues like Budget preparation, Reconciliation, Clearance Certificate, Physical verification, Tendering, GeM Purchasing, Service Books maintenance, Local funds, Record maintenance and Security Deposit.
