Budgam: The Cooperative Department District Budgam in collaboration with Regional Institute of Cooperative Management (RICM), Chandigarh on Saturday organized a one day training program for the Board of Directors, members of PACS/ Dairy Cooperative Societies at Sheikh ulAlam Hall, here.
Speaking on the occasion, the Regional Director (RICM) emphasized on the new initiatives taken by the Ministry of Cooperation, Government of India like Adoption of Model By laws of PACS, Computerization of PACS, National Cooperative Database, Operation of PACS as PradhanMantri Jan AushudiKendras (PMJAKs), Operation of PACS as PradhanMantriKisanSamrudhiKendras (PMKSKs), PACS to operate as Common Service Centres (CSCs).
He also stressed the participants to disseminate the information of initiatives to other members of the Cooperatives in order to get the benefits through PACS.
On the occasion, the Deputy Registrar highlighted the achievements of the Cooperative Sector Budgam and stressed to register PACS and Dairy cooperative in every panchayathalqa of district Budgam.
Training program was attended by P.K. Ranjan, Regional Director, Sunil Sharma, Senior Faculty member RICM, AabidaNabi, Deputy Registrar Cooperative Societies Budgam, Assistant Registrars Cooperative Societies of District Budgam, Officials of Cooperative Department District Budgam and Board of Directors of PACS/ Dairy Cooperative Societies.
