DC B’pora chairs DRAC meeting, approves 14 rent assessment cases

DC asks officers to prioritize ground floors for convenience of specially-abled

Bandipora: The District Rent Assessment Committee (DRAC), which met here on Friday under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner (DC) Bandipora, Dr Owais Ahmad, approved 14 rent cases.
The rent cases pertaining to Health, Education, FCS&CA, Sheep, and Horticulture besides others were approved by the committee. The Committee discussed the fixation of rent of various structures in which various government offices are functioning across the district.
15 cases were taken up for discussion in the meeting, out of which 14 cases were approved.
Addressing the meeting, the DC asked the officers to pay rent to the concerned owners of land and structures on time and ensure the safety of the government/rented property. He further asked the intending authorities to pay the approved rent along with the arrear after the title verification certificate is issued from the concerned Tehsildar.
DrOwais Ahmad, on the occasion, urged the concerned authorities to prioritize ground floors for accommodation of government offices for the convenience and ease of the general public, especially specially-abled persons.
The meeting was attended by ADC Bandipora Umar Shafi, Joint Director Planning Imtiyaz Ahmad, TehsildarBandipora, CMO, DySP DAR, Executive Engineer R&B besides other concerned officers of various departments.
