Srinagar : The Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University in collaboration with Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) observed Vigilance Awareness Week-2023 with the theme, “Say no To Corruption- Commit to the Nation”.
According to a statement issued from Public Relations Office BGSBU here, Prof. Akbar Masood, Vice Chancellor, Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University said that corruption is a curse curse for any society. Prof. Akbar said that corruption erodes trusts, weakens decomracy and hampers the economic development of a nation.
Prof. Akbar said that educational institutions can play a pivotal role in eradicating the menace of corruption from the society.
Dr.. Danish IqbalRaina, Assistant Professor, Centre for Hospitality and Tourism and Dr. SaimaAslam , Assistant Professor, Department of Biotechnology also presented their views on the occasion.
Inspector Punjab Singh, Inspector ShrikantParihar and Inspector NareshChanderfrom ACB (PR), Jammu also shared their views and discussed various initiatives of the Anti CorruptionBeuro in the UT of Jammu and Kashmir . This was followed by a question answer session in which the officers from ACB addressed the various queries raised by the audiance.
The program was organised by the Office of the Chief Proctor of the University under the Supervision of Dr. ParwezAlam , Chief Proctor BGSBU. Rakesh Singh Sambyal , Assistant Professor, SoET presented vote of thanks.
