Doda: In a significant administrative gathering, the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Doda, Harvinder Singh on Thursday convened a meeting on Thursday to address critical matters concerning the ongoing highway construction and the digitization of land records in the region.
The meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioners Doda and Bhaderwah, Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Sub Divisional Magistrates, Tehsildars, and a representative from the National Highways and Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited (NHIDCL).
The primary focus of the meeting was on assessing the progress of the highway project and the status of digitization of land records by NHIDCL and the revenue department.
The DC emphasised the need for swift resolution of pending issues related to land acquisition for the highway construction. He directed the General Manager (GM) of NHIDCL to address these grievances promptly and ensure that pending payments and allowances are disbursed to landowners affected by the project.
Furthermore, the DC urged the Tehsildar to expedite the digitisation of land records, a critical step in modernizing and streamlining land-related processes. Additionally, he urged the National Highways Authority to identify and report any potential bottlenecks that may be impeding the progress of the highway construction.
This meeting underscored the commitment of the local administration to ensure the timely and efficient completion of the highway project and the modernization of land records, ultimately benefiting the community and the region at large.
