AIR Station Director engages with students of Sericulture Deptt at Poonch Campus

Poonch: The Department of Sericulture of Poonch Campus, University of Jammu, had the privilege of hosting the Station Director of All India Radio Poonch, GhulamNabi Mir on a remarkable visit to the campus. The visit, which took place on Wednesday, was a notable event that aimed at fostering interactions with students and gaining insights into the innovative Cocoon craft initiative at Poonch Campus.
The Station Director’s visit is a testament to the significance and recognition of the dedicated efforts and initiatives in the field of Sericulture and cocoon craft at Poonch Campus.
This visit provided an invaluable opportunity to the students to engage with a highly regarded professional from the media industry, potentially opening new doors to learning and growth.
During the visit, the Station Director, AIR Poonch, GhulamNabi Mir extended warm congratulations to the Director Poonch Campus, particularly highlighting Dr. RubiaBukhari, for their pioneering initiative in Cocoon craft, which has been garnering attention and appreciation. The Station Director also lauded the hard work and dedication of the students involved in this innovative craft.
In response to the visit, Director Poonch Campus, Prof. RakeshVaid, expressed his gratitude to the Station Director, AIR Poonch, for taking the time to visit the campus and engage with the students. Prof. Vaid emphasized the importance of such interactions in providing students with real-world insights and experiences. “The Department of Sericulture at Poonch Campus looks forward to more such interactions in the future, which will undoubtedly inspire and guide the students on their academic and creative journey,” added director Poonch Campus.
Dr. RubiaBukhari, who Incharge the Department of Sericulture and leads the Cocoon craft initiative, provided a comprehensive briefing to the Station Director, AIR Poonch, about the intricacies and artistic aspects of cocoon art and craft. “This interaction served to further enrich the knowledge and appreciation of this innovative initiative,” She added.
The visit of the Station Director, All India Radio Poonch, was a significant milestone for Poonch Campus, and it reinforces the institution’s commitment to promoting excellence in the field of sericulture and craft. It also reflects the power of collaboration between academia and industry professionals.
Present on the occasion includes; DrSurakshaChanotra, DrJyotyAngotra, DrPalvi Sharma, MsKalpna Sudan, MrSahilChoudhary, MrMohdSagheer and MrSandeep Kumar.
