Police Flag Day Week-2023: Police organizes several events in Bla, G’bal & Kulgam

Srinagar : In a heartfelt tribute to fallen heroes and a resounding salute to the valiant police martyrs who have sacrificed their lives for the motherland, police organised several events in Baramulla, Ganderbal and Kulgam districts.
According to a statement issued from Zonal Police Headquarters Srinagar a Mini Marathon “Run for Unity” was organized by Baramulla Police from Govt Degree College Baramulla to Akbar Chowk in which school children of different schools of town Baramulla participated. The marathon was flagged off by ADC Baramulla Zahoor Ahmad Raina along with SP Hqrs Baramulla Divya D-IPS. 1st, 2nd & 3rd position holders were felicitated by ADC & SP Hqrs Baramulla on the occasion.
Similarly, a seminar on the “National Security” was organised by Ganderbal Police at Government Degree College Ganderbal. Professors, Lecturers, PRIs, Social activists, colleges students & other respectable citizens were present in the seminar. Moreover, Painting Competition was also held at Manasbal Park under the supervision of Dy SP Hqrs Ganderbal Gh Hassan in which students of various educational institutions participated. First 3 position holders were awarded with suitable cash prizes, mementos & appreciation certificates.
Moreover, seminar on ‘National Security’ was organized at Police Station Kulgam in which respectable citizens of Kulgam Town and other adjacent areas participated. SSP Kulgam Sahil Sarangal who graced the occasion as chief guest enlightened the audience about the different facts and the internal & external threats ahead to national security and the precautionary measures to tackle them successfully. SP Hqrs Kulgam Ghulam Muhammad Bhat, SHO Police Station Kulgam and other senior officers of police were also present.
Meanwhile, Martyrs Memorial volleyball tournament which started on 20th of October 2023 concludes on Tuesday at DPL Pulwama. The final match was played between Star volleyball club Pulwama and Joiners volley ball club Pulwama in which Juniors Volleyball Club Pulwama emerged as winners. Speaking on the occasion, Addl, SP Pulwama stressed the participants that Police aims to provide opportunities for them to chase their dreams. Trophies were presented to both the winner and the runner-up team. Recognizing their commendable efforts, the winning team received a cash prize of ₹5000/- while the runner-up team was awarded ₹3000/-. Individual excellence was acknowledged as well, with Mudasir Maqbool earning the prestigious Man of the Match award, which included a Trophy. AamirHassian lauded as the Man of the Series, receiving the coveted Trophy.
