Kishtwar: Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar, Dr. DevanshYadav convened a meeting to assess the progress on the implementation of Centrally Sponsored Schemes in the district including the developmental and beneficiary oriented schemes.
The review covered schemes such as MGNREGA, PMGAY, 14FC, PMGSY, JalJeevan Mission and PM Social Security Schemes.
Deputy Commissioner emphasized achieving 100% scheme saturation and discussed land and execution matters related to the JalJeevan Mission. Road projects and bridges under PMGSY were also reviewed thoroughly. It was informed that out of 40 projects taken up in Kishtwar division 20 have been completed, while all 18 proposed projects in Chatroo and 8 out of 20 projects have been completed in Marwah sub Divisions.
To ensure hassle-free project completion, timely structure compensation payments were stressed, and contractors were urged to expedite ongoing work.
Stringent action against contractors causing delays was discussed under legal provisions. Progress on PDD works, MIDH, agriculture, and GI tagging of Saffron was also reviewed.
ICDS and NRLM authorities were encouraged to collaborate on self-sustainable Mushroom Development projects to address nutritional deficiencies in Anganwadicentres.
The progress on under construction Projects, including Govt Polytechnic College Kishtwar and the Trout unit of fisheries was thoroughly reviewed for timely completion.
Dr. DevanshYadav urged timely project completion without compromising quality and called for rigorous site supervision. Cooperation from departments in submitting progress reports was requested for higher authorities’ compilation.
The meeting was attended by key officials including ADDC Kishtwar Sham Lal, ACR Varunjeet Singh Charak, PO ICDS Dr Rishi Kumar Sharma, Joint Director Planning MohdIqbal, GM DIC Mohamad Ashraf, ACD KishtwarManoj Kumar, DPO Sunil Bhutyal,District officers, ExENs, and concerned stakeholders.
