Srinagar: In continuation to the UT Foundation Day Celebrations on 31st October, the Cultural Unit Kashmir of the Department of Information and Public Relations (DIPR) organized a NukkadNatak and Ladishah (traditional storytelling) at Polowiev Srinagar.
The theme of the NukkadNatak was “BadaltaKhilta Jammu Kashmir” (Changing and Blooming Jammu Kashmir). The performance highlighted the various developmental initiatives taken by the government in Jammu and Kashmir since the reorganisation of J&K as a UT, especially the record-making digitization of government services, reshaping of Srinagar city under Smart City Project and other important social schemes.
Artists from Tulkul Arts and Media collectively performed at the event which was witnessed by a large gathering.
The highlight of the evening was the Ladishah performance by RayeesWathori.
Pertinent to mention that the Cultural Unit Kashmir of DIPR is organizing a series of events including Ladishahs, photo exhibitions, and other activities across J&K in the coming days to create awareness about the developmental activities taking place in Jammu and Kashmir.
Through these activities, DIPR aims to showcase the transformations witnessed in development and other social sectors in J&K over the past few years.
Officers and officials of the Cultural Unit Kashmir were also present on the occasion.
