Srinagar: Police on Monday kickstarted Police Flag Day Week-2023 with the inauguration of exhibition programmes in Baramulla besides which officers also visited the villages and towns of martyred police personnel in Awantipora and Kulgam.
According to a statement issued from Zonal Police Headquarters Srinagar, at DPL Baramulla, exhibition highlighting the contribution of Police Martyrs was attended by DySP DAR Peerzada Aijaz Ahmad in which family members of Martyrs and respectables from different areas of the District participated and floral tribute were paid to the Martyrs for their sacrifice in the line of duty. During exhibition, a detailed Power Point Presentation wherein detailed scenario of attaining martyrdom by the martyred police personnel was presented. On the outset of the exhibition, the participants were introduced to the concept of “Savera Cell”. DySP DAR thanked participants for their active participation. Similar programmes were also organized in the Sub-Divisions Uri and Tangmarg which was attended by SDPOs/ SHOs & DOs, families of the martyrs.
Meanwhile, Police visited the local villages/towns of martyred Police Personnel’s of PD Awantipora and Kulgam. During the visit, the sacrifices made by the martyred Police Personnel’s in the line of duty were highlighted besides which the portraits of the martyred Police personnel’s were displayed at Martyr’s gallery in their concerned Police Stations of PD Awantipora and Kulgam with great honour and respect.
