DC Pulwama conducts extensive review of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana

Pulwama: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Pulwama, Dr. Basharat Qayoom on Saturday chaired a comprehensive review meeting of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY), here.
The Assistant Commissioner Development Pulwama presented a detailed report covering the progress of various blocks within the Pulwama district. This included block-wise assessments, with particular attention given to addressing landless cases.
The DC emphasized the critical importance of adhering to fixed timelines for project completion, underlining the Administration’s commitment to ensuring PMAY projects are completed within the prescribed timeframes. This commitment aligns with the Government’s vision to provide affordable housing for all, especially those without land of their own.
The Assistant Commissioner Development Pulwama reported on the achievements and challenges faced in the execution of PMAY projects, highlighting the need for close monitoring and prompt resolution of any issues that may arise.
The meeting concluded with DC issuing strict and clear directions to expedite the PMAY projects, facilitate the construction of homes for eligible beneficiaries, and ensure the timely completion of all payments.
The meeting was attended by Assistant Commissioner Development Pulwama and all the Block Development Officers of District Pulwama.
