Srinagar: Police on Thursday said that it alongwith Executive Magistrate concerned arrested a chemist for possessing and supplying contraband substance to the youth and also sealed a medical shop at Wakoora, Ganderbal.
In a statement issued from Zonal Police Headquarters Srinagar Police said that during investigation of the case vide FIR No. 287/2023 of Police Station Ganderbal, one Hilal Ahmad Ganie S/o Gh Mohi-ud-Din Ganie R/o Wakoora had been arrested by Ganderbal Police Just few days back and the said accused has during questioning confessed that Ganie Medical Shop at Wakoora is supplier of contraband substances to the local youth of the area.
Police in its statement further said that a Police Party led by Incharge Police Post Shadipora under the supervision of DySP Hqrs Ganderbal alongwith Executive Magistrate concerned raided Ganie Medical Shop at Wakoora and during search, contraband substance was recovered/seized on the spot and the accused (Chemist) identified as Mehraj-ud-Din Ganie R/o Wakoora who was immediately arrested for possessing and supplying the contraband substance to the local youth. Stating the Medical Shop was also sealed by the Executive Magistrate 1st Class Wakoora on the spot, Police
