Srinagar: A 60-year-old man from Srinagar, who has been a dedicated blood donor for over four decades now has been conferred with Infotel Award-2023 at Tagore Hall in Srinagar.
Commonly known as the ‘Blood Man of Kashmir’, Shabir Hussain Khan, has donated a whopping 185 pints of O-ve blood so far, for which he was given Infotel award 2023.
Khan received the award from Chairman HAJ and Aukaf and DDC chairperson Baramulla, Safeena Beigh in presence of Maqsood Ahmad, Programme Executive Shaheerbeen, Saqib Murtaza Tehsildar Pattan and Mohammad Aslam Bhat, Editor in Chief KNS Media Group. Pertinently, Khan’s O-negative blood group is a rare type, and his donations have been instrumental in saving the lives of people who require this blood type.
