Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference Member of the Parliament from Anantnag Hasnain Masoodi on Wednesday dedicated critical care equipment in PHC Bugam, Kulgam procured from his CDF amounting Rs 8 lakh.
According to a statement issued from party headquarters here, speaking on the occasion, Masoodi underlined the importance the NC MPs have lent to the upgradation and enhancement of critical care and diagnostics at primary, secondary and tertiary health facilities in the North, south and central Kashmir. State Spokesperson and Incharge Kulgam Imran Nabi Dar was also present.
About the various facets of patient care and the initiatives underway to improve the delivery of healthcare across the four districts of South Kashmir Parliamentary constituency, he said that he has so far rendered Rs Five Cr for upgradation of facilities at the health facilities in the four districts of South Kashmir Parliamentary constituency.
“In Charge constituency Kulgam Imran Nabi Dar highlighted the dearth of critical care and diagnostic equipment in PHC Bugam. Keeping up with our party’s commitment towards enhancing the healthcare facilities, I readily allocated the amount for the procurement of the equipment. The equipment will process a game changer for diagnosis and treatment of various health conditions,” he said emphasising on the importance of patient-centred care and the department’s commitment to ensure that Primary Health Centers (PHCs) and District Hospitals offer quality care with a focus on both the physical and emotional wellbeing of the patients.
While talking to the local media, Masoodi lamented the use of brutal force against the people of Palestine saying, “The attacks on civilians amounts to genocide and it is unfortunate that the Western powers are supporting Israel. People of Palestine have been facing such barbarity for the last 75 years. Lakhs have been killed and their land snatched. Today you would have seen an airstrike was carried out on a hospital in Gaza in which more than 500 people were killed. This is highly condemnable. What is more condemnable is the silence of western countries, the Arab League, and OIC on the emerging situation.”
