DDC Reasi review District Skill Development Plan

Reasi: District Development Commissioner Reasi Babila Rakwal chaired a meeting of District Skill Committee to review the District Skill Development Plan, besides reviewing progress on implementation of the plan approved for 2023-24.
DM asked the District Skill Committee (DSC) to introduce the new age courses pertaining to energy conservation, automotive sector and also introduced traditional courses like Dhari making etc.
Reviewing the activities approved and taken up under the Skill Development Plan, the DM directed the Heads of Skill imparting institutes for providing skill as well as vocational training to the youth by organizing special short-term and crash courses which have potential to provide them job opportunities.
DM also directed the departments to guide their pass out trainees for availing the benefits from different job oriented schemes of various sectors, so that the graph of placements can be enhanced.
DM asked AD Employment to sensitize the already trained youth especially girls towards handholding to set up their start ups business units at their local level. DM directed all the departments to organize local awareness camps, social media based awareness camps to encourage youth to avail benefits of recently launched Vishwakarma and other schemes of their respective sectors.

Vinay Gupta Principal Govt Polytechnic College Reasi, Er. Rajesh Kumar Banotra Superintendent Govt ITI Reasi and other concerned officers were also present.
