Rajouri : Rajouri DC Vikas Kundal selected 28 beneficiaries for Commercial Sheep/Goat units under HADP. This was done through a transparent draw and lots process.
The selection was made during a comprehensive meeting of the District Implementation Committee (DLIC), which was attended by the Chief Planning Officer (CPO) Mohammad Khurshid, General Manager of the District Industries Center (DIC) Ashwini Kumar, Assistant Commissioner Panchayat (ACP) Sheraz Chowhan, Chief Agriculture Officer (CAO) Sohan Singh, District Sheep Husbandry Officer (DSHO) P.P. Sajotra, Chief Horticulture Officer (CHO) Madan Lal Tak, Chief Animal Husbandry Officer (CAHO) Dr. Khalid Hussain, Lead District Manager (LDM) Sanjeev Bhasin, Deputy Registrar of Cooperative Societies Adnan Rather and other concerned officers.
One of the focal points of this meeting was to meticulously assess the progress made in achieving the targeted objectives of HADP, as well as to sensitize farmers about the innovative interventions approved under the program. The resolute commitment of the district administration to ensuring that the benefits of HADP reach the intended beneficiaries was evident throughout the meeting.
The Holistic Agriculture Development Program (HADP) is indeed a groundbreaking initiative designed to create a sustainable and lucrative agricultural ecosystem in Rajouri. Deputy Commissioner underscored the overarching goal of the program, which is to empower local farmers with knowledge and tools that can significantly boost their productivity and profitability, while concurrently bolstering the overall growth of the agricultural sector.
Furthermore, the program functions as an invaluable platform for farmers to engage with experts from the Agricultural and allied departments. This engagement allows farmers to seek expert guidance on various facets of farming. Through this multifaceted approach, the HADP aspires to enhance agricultural productivity, improve livelihoods, and contribute substantially to the broader economic growth of the region.
