DC Rajouri reviews Dengue Control Measures in the Distt

Rajouri: Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Vikas Kundal, led a comprehensive review of the dengue control measures underway in the district, highlighting the commitment of the administration to combating the dengue outbreak and ensuring the well-being of the residents of Rajouri.
The meeting was convened to assess the current situation and ensuring the implementation of effective strategies to combat the spread of dengue fever.
Executive Officers of the municipalities informed the meeting that fogging and spraying activities have been implemented across all municipalities in the district. These measures are aimed at eliminating mosquito breeding sites and reducing the mosquito population responsible for the transmission of dengue.
Recognizing the importance of spreading awareness about dengue prevention, the Chief Education Officer was directed to educate students about precautionary measures during morning assemblies in schools. By targeting the younger generation, the district administration aims to instill a sense of responsibility and ensure that students are well-informed about the necessary precautions to avoid dengue.
Assistant Commissioner Panchayat has been entrusted with the task of disseminating advisories to all panchayats in the district. This grassroots approach aims to raise awareness at the local community level and empower individuals to take proactive measures to prevent dengue.
To further strengthen the healthcare infrastructure and control the spread of dengue, the Chief Medical Officer of Rajouri has been directed to enhance testing facilities in the district. Early detection of dengue cases is crucial in providing prompt medical intervention and minimizing the impact of the disease.
Deputy Commissioner emphasized the importance of a coordinated effort involving stakeholders, including government departments, educational institutions and the general public. He urged everyone in the district to take the necessary precautions to prevent dengue, emphasizing the importance of eliminating mosquito breeding sites and maintaining a clean and hygienic environment.
The meeting was attended by ADC Rajouri, Rajiv Kumar Khajuria; CMO Rajouri Dr. Rajinder kumar ;ACP, Sheraz Chowhan; DPO, Auqil Nuvaid; ; CEO Education, Sultana Kouser; MS DH, Dr Mehmood Bajar; EOs Municipalities and other concerned officers.
