Jammu : Police on Saturday said that in it’s drive against drug trafficking and substance abuse, Jammu Police has recovered 80 grams of heroin during patrolling at JDA Parking Rail Head Complex from two accused persons of the area falling under the jurisdiction of Police Station Bahu Fort.
In a statement issued from District Police Headquarters Jammu Police said that a police team of Police Station Bahu Fort led by SDPO East Paurpkar Singh and assisted by SHO Police Station Bahu Fort Inspr Shiv Dev Singh while on patrolling duty near JDA Parking Rail Head complex rounded up two suspected identified as Mangat Ram S/o Khanchan R/o Mataward Nizamuddin Basti Firozpur Punjab and Ajay Kumar R/o Naki Ram R/o Marathi Mohalla Trikuta Nagar Jammu following 80 grams of herion was recovered from their possession.
Stating that the police registered the cases FIR No. 299/2023 U/S 8/21/22/25/28 NDPS Act at Police Station Bahu Fort and arrested the accused , Police in it’s statement further said that the overall arrests and recoveries were made under the supervision of SP South Shaheen Wahid.
In the concluding para of it’s above quoted statement Police said that it has been working intensively to uproot the chains of drug supply in the region and thorough questioning of the accused is going on to know the origin of the drugs supply chain.
