Srinagar: Police in Anantnag on Thursday under the aegis of Civic Action Programme (CAP), organized a tour called “Wadi ki Sair” for 50 deprived students of different government schools of district Anantnag.
According to a statement issued from Zonal Police Headquarters Srinagar, the tour is aimed to educate students about the historical significance of various landmarks and sites in the Kashmir valley. On the 1st day of the tour, students will be shown historical places and Mughal gardens of district Srinagar and tomorrow they will visit Gulmarg where they shall ride in Gandola besides they will be shown different tourist places of the area. Students will be guided by experts who will provide them interesting information about each location.
The objective of the “Wadi ki Sair” tour is to instil a sense of pride and appreciation of the heritage among the students, by connecting them with their history and heritage. The tour is aimed to inspire them to become responsible citizens and contribute to the development of the society.
