DC Kishtwar chairs DMFT meet

Kishtwar: In a decisive move towards the optimal utilization of resources, Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar, Dr. Devansh Yadav on Thursday chaired District Mineral Foundation Trust meeting to deliberate on the judicious allocation of the District Mineral Funds for developmental schemes in district Kishtwar for FY 23-24.
The meeting encompassed a detailed discussion on the utilization of funds available within the trust, aligning with the PMKKKY guidelines.
Dr. Brijesh Manhas, the District Mineral Officer (DMO) Kishtwar, provided an overview of the funds available and the annual plan for the financial year 2023-24.
In a retrospective glance at the previous fiscal year (FY 22-23), notable initiatives included Free Winter Tuition for 9th and 10th class students, installation of floodlights at Sports Ground Gulabgarh and Paddar, construction of a concrete cricket pitch and turf, and pathway construction within GDC Kishtwar.
For the ongoing fiscal year 2023-24, the meeting was convened to discuss the utilization of District Mineral Funds for the sanctioned schemes.
Valuable suggestions were put forth by all members present during the meeting, spanning various sectors.
Key proposals included the construction of a base for the erection of a Mushroom Tent at TYRC Kishtwar & TYRC Chatroo, laying of tiles from SBI to Veterinary Hospital Kishtwar, road construction from Pohie Road to Hangpath Temple, mural painting in educational institutions, water connection to saffron fields in Berwar, and the construction of a Steel Fabricated structure at Adarsh Academy.
Following an in-depth discussion, it was unanimously agreed that the mentioned works would be executed using funds drawn from the District Mineral Foundation Trust. The DC issued directives to the DMO for the meticulous and effective implementation of plan for the fiscal year 2022-23 accordingly.
The meeting was attended by DMO Kishtwar Dr Brijesh Manhas , DPO Kishtwar Sunil Bhutyal,DSWO Kishtwar Zubair Ahmed Lone, CMO Kishtwar, ExEns besides other members.
