Weekly Block Diwas: ADDC listens to people’s issues at Rajpura

Samba: Block Diwas event was organized on Wednesday at the Ram temple in Block Rajpura to listen to the issues and Grievances of the locals.
DDC Asha Rani and BDC Chairman Radheshyam Sharma, SDM Ghagwal Sunaina Saini, DSWO, Nawaz Sharif, CMO, Dr. Vidhi Bhutiyal among others were present on the occasion.
During the significant gathering, local residents and community representatives had the opportunity to engage with Additional District Development Commissioner Samba, Rajinder Singh who presided over the proceedings of the Block Diwas. The Locals shared their concerns, troubles, grievances, and demands, with a strong call for actionable solutions.
The community projected the need for better electricity, road infrastructure and streamlining the services of the Revenue Department.
Sarpanch Suresh Basautra expressed that the people of marginal Block Rajpura need better health services. He highlighted that approximately 35 border-area villages under Rajpura block need separate PHC and ambulance services.
District Development Council Member, Asha Rani drew the attention towards the issue of release of pending Ditch compensation to left out farmers.
Block diwas proceedings also revealed ongoing issues related to the Revenue Department. Some villagers of Sujana claimed land ownership with old documents. The SDM Ghagwal immediately directed the concerned officers to go through the details of the matter and resolve the same.
Many issues related to Electricity, road connectivity, education were raised and were resolved on the spot by the officers concerned.
