VC DDC Udhampur launches macadamization work of Balpur to Kamdala PMGSY road, Distributes appointment letters to AAYAS

Udhampur: Vice Chairperson District Development Council Udhampur, Juhi Manhas Pathania, in presence of PRIs and local public, on Wednesday inaugurated macadamistation work on Balpur (Dhar road to Kamdala (Babey) via Sundla road in Teshil Majalta amid thunderous applause, rending of slogans and boosters of appreciation from the locals of the area.
The road is being built at a cost of Rs 8.28 crore and would connect to 3 villages benefitting almost 2000 souls of the area. The said road fulfils the long pending demand of the people for a standard all weather road. Pathania congratulated the people of the area and informed them that the said road project is the first road under PMGSY-III in District Udhampur which is nearing completion.
For this, she applauded the efforts of all those involved in making this project a reality especially the PMGSY authorities and contractor agency and urged them to continue working towards achieving the goal of providing better connectivity and quality infrastructure to rural areas. Moreover, the people of the area also appreciated the authorities and expressed their gratitude for the early completion of the project which will provide them a much needed relief.
The construction of this road is a significant milestone for the people in the area and a testament to the government’s commitment to improving rural infrastructure. The road is expected to boost economic activity in the region and improve the overall quality of life for the people.
Later, the Vice Chairperson distributed joining letters to newly recruited AAYAS in a programme organised by the Department of School Education at ZEO office Babey.
Pathania, while sensitising the newly appointed “Aayaas,” exhorted them to play a vital role in schools, encompassing a significance that goes beyond their designated responsibilities. Their importance lies in their contribution to maintaining a safe, nurturing, and efficient educational environment, ultimately influencing the overall learning experience for both students and educators. Firstly, Aayaas provides invaluable assistance in managing the day-to-day operations of schools. They help in maintaining cleanliness, ensuring proper hygiene, and organizing spaces, which are essential for a conducive learning atmosphere. Their efforts contribute directly to the well-being and health of the students, creating a positive and comfortable environment that is conducive to learning.Moreover, Aayaas often serve as extended caregivers and emotional support for young children, especially in primary schools.
Furthermore, Aayaas contributes to the safety and security of the students. They are vigilant and watchful, ensuring that students are protected from potential hazards and incidents. Their presence and alertness add an extra layer of assurance for both students and parents, allowing them to have peace of mind while the students are at school. They contribute to the overall well-being of the school environment, impacting the safety, cleanliness, and emotional comfort of students. Their influence extends beyond their designated duties, making them an Integral part of the school community and an essential component in the educational experience for both students and educators.
Prominent among those who remained present included Vishal Sadhotra, BDO Khoon, Putcher Ram, ZEO Babay, Amit Abrol AEE PMGSY, Raman Khajuria, Sarpanch Sundla, Kamala Devi Sarpanch Babey, Manoj Verma Sarpanch Bilaspur, Nisha Sharma Sarpanch Mottu, charan Das Naib Sarpanch Nakki, Shiv Ram, Kulwant Singh, Bishan Singh and others.
